The star has handed over the entirety of his twenty-five thousand pound honor cash to the Music Venues Trust, which works to preserve the Britain's grassroots music venues.
The star was presented with the prize on mid-October as his third album the album was chosen as the top album of the past year.
The musician has chosen to donate the funds to the trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function grassroots venues played in his initial steps.
"As an artist wouldn't be doing my current career if it weren't for all the gigs I performed around the region, and beyond, when I was just getting going," said Fender. "These spaces are renowned, but they are facing challenges."
From early 2023 onward, at least 150 of these spaces have ceased operations – about 16 percent of the total UK scene.
In the last year, top acts including Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the trust in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by adding a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which benefits local stages.
He also participated, collecting more than £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to help thirty-eight grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The money assisted locations that were dealing with potential shutdown due to issues stemming from water damage, blazes and bereavements, as well as permit problems, legal disputes and noise complaints.
Other venues received monetary aid in improving infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and fans.
"The idea that revenue from performances in big venues helps the independent spots, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just common sense," the star has commented.
The musician is not the first artist to donate his award prize money to good deeds.
When the band earned the prize in the mid-90s for their record the album, frontman the singer declared that the band would donate their cash to the organization War Child.
During 2002, rapper and singer the artist shared her bounty among several charities, such as the children's charity and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"And I donated a grand to my local community centre, to their gymnastics program, because I did gymnastics when I was growing up and they needed new equipment," the artist shared with the media.
In recent years, the band contributed their funds to the youth organization that supported their act, as well as other independent music bodies.
And the 1994 recipients M People gave their prize to a charity for MS after a friend was identified with the illness.
"Receiving the award was quite enough," said singer Small. "The money was the cherry on top but we could do without the cherry, because we had the cake. So our success affected the lives of others."
In the past week, the trust revealed it had protected several small stages in that region, by transferring them to public stewardship.
One venue in Southampton and the second in the city were purchased under the Own Our Venues initiative, which is supported by the arts council and supporters who purchase "shares" in the venues.
